According to the love project’s big fat master plan, June is graffiti month.
One thing I’ve noticed, out prowling for love during the first six months of the love project, is that while graffiti isn’t hard to find, love graffiti is, so I’ve decided to interpret our theme broadly. For our purposes, love graffiti is any message of love that is left behind for others to find.
Like this…
Or this…
Or this…
I plan to make my own graffiti too. I’m not rebel (or talented) enough to break out the spray paint, but I’ve got lipstick (for mirror notes), sidewalk chalk (for when it stops raining), colorful postcards on which to write messages that I can tuck into books, leave on chairs and in tip jars, tape to dressing room mirrors. I’m not above writing love notes in dust and steam and sand, mowing hearts into the lawn, making post-it note love.
I think part of the fun this month will be dreaming up new ways to leave love lying around. And whenever I can, I’ll share the pictures with you.
What do you think? Are you in?

Love it!
I went on a fun graffiti hunt myself in May, unfortunately not too many pictures of love though; http://ajourneyofintention.com/a-very-successful-graffiti-hunt/ Look forward to seeing you spreading the love!
x
But some beautiful graffiti! (And I saw a couple of love shots!) ;-)
I. Am. In.
And, as Forrest Gump puts it, “That’s all I have to say about that.”
xoxoxo
And it’s the perfect amount. This will be fun!
Adored both those vids.
I love the idea of looking for and creating love graffiti! I’ll keep my eyes peeled.
P.S. I <3 you Boo Boo is too precious.
I know. I love that picture. And the videos… and love left lying around. Keep your eyes open and if all else fails, darlin’, create your own. xo
I’m in, and the timing of it is perfect. :)
I love when you’re mysterious. ;-)
I’m so in, j (like you had to ask…) ;-) This will be so much fun!
PS: I think animals can leave love graffiti as well :-P even if inadvertently, like my cats did over the weekend.
Pictures, please! (And yay! I love when you play, Estrella!)
I actually wrote a quick tutorial (while having lunch yesterday) on this over at my place and photos to go with it ;-)
Cuteness!
I forgot there was a love graffiti month. Damn, I should have waited to send you my pic from NYC!
I guess that just means I will have to find more. :)
That was my secret not-so-evil plan all along. Take me some east coast pictures, t!
and I just found my 8gb card… have camera, will search! i think it will be a fun month (and if the sun would just come out, we would be totally golden :-) )
Yay!
And if all else fails, make your own. I expect at least one picture from you this month. That is your mission.
Love the videos.
I promise to write love messages in the sand at the beach.
<3
I will hold you to that. (Plus, just a guess, but you could, if you were inclined, leave some gorgeous (doodly) love lying around.)
It looks like a cloven print. How it got here, how long ago,
another story altogether. When names ill-fit pop like wet stones
in flame, the beast that leaves this track is the last one to surface.
There’s only one print here. You’ll need to be creative
to locate what the other end of this straight line has been
swallowed by. Courage was always your best defense.
If you need help jumping in, don’t pull on the line. However, if you
should find that you are lost, pull on the line. The silver one.
The gold one? Well, you’ll figure it out.
More mystery. I need to read this again in the morning…
totally in…. will keep my camera at hand… and my open heart
to let it be the magnet to see the sparkle of love
and post it :~)
I love letting your open heart be the magnet. That should do the trick! Be sure I know when you post the sparkly love. xoxo
Oh yeah! You know I’m in j. Traveling into the city every day offers even more graffiti opportunities. Can’t wait. I shall even take out the big camera for this event. Post-it love was wonderful. I adored watching the two love bird’s confidence grow with each post-it declaration of love. Graffiti, post-its, and love….this is gonna be great. You are so rockin’ j’s Loves Project and in turn rockin’ me. xo
Yay! I can’t wait to see people’s pictures. Whatever you find, make sure you share so I can put it up on the Love Project Scenes page (and also in Monday posts during June). I agree. This is going to be fun. So far, I’ve left love on two mirrors and in the public mailbox (a postcard thanking postal workers for what they do), and I’m letting the grass get a little too long so that when I mow a heart into it, it will be visible. ;-)
