This has been a tough, rewarding, weird, long week. With all the truly yucky out there, I wanted to post something just plain adorable this week. Here you go. Cuteness to make you smile. Happy Friday, everyone. You made it.

Sorry, I don’t have a caption, but I wanted to say this animal looks like its smiling!

    Happy Friday!

Aw, Terre, thanks for commenting anyway. The smile is why I loved the pic. He makes me smile. Happy Friday back!

Just now the boy came in and the news on NPR was all terrible and he said, “I need a hug.” And then, he glanced at my computer screen and said… “And a happy donkey.”

    :-)

i’m too distracted by how sweet and peaceful this donkey’s face is to even think of a caption. i think if everyone looked into this donkey’s eyes there would be world peace. in fact, he looks just like the sweet donkey that carried Mary (at least in the cartoon version we have). wow. it’s the baby Jesus donkey right here on “caption this”. so cool. :-)

thank you for the happy donkey day!

“I’m serious, some people have called me a jack-ass. They’re way off — don’t you think?”

    or

“Just one more hug and I’ll go, promise.”

    or

    ok, I don’t have an or…
    Great pick though.

Becky, he totally looks like he’s saying “Just one more hug!” That made me laugh.

    I thought of this one…

Photographer: That’ll do, Donkey, that’ll do.

“may I please have another apple?”

    (could you say no?)

After the veterinarian gave Willy a clean bill of health he said that the smile was probably permanent from his time as a performer in over 500 donkey shows.

    or

Husband: “…it says right here in the ‘papers’ he gave me, they are loyal, trusting, athletic, good with children, great for hunting and highly intelligent.”
Wife: “That may all be true but I still don’t think that is a pure bred Weimaraner he sold you!”

After working out all month Jill was thrilled her ass looked smaller!! —- (that completely obvious comment was beneath me. I apologize for leaving it)

Donkey was tired of being type cast and decided that after filming Shrek 37 he had had enough!

I thought of Shrek too when I saw this. “My handsomeness is because I am Antonio Banderas, see?” I think the switch came from Shrek II or III. So you must see the sequels to even think of this. I need to put my brain on a shelf today!!

Bobby, Now if “Jill” had been “J,” that would have been perfect!

    “Stop staring at my ass!”

“Shrek and Donkey on another epic adventure!

“Does my ass look big in this?”

    All terrible, I know!!

    – even though Mr Reid was smiling when he commented on then pres. candidate Obama’s light colored skin and lack of a negro dialect (unless he wants it) I still find it soooo hard to believe people think he should be leading the senate!

    – even though Mr Biden was smiling when he commented on then pres. candidate Obama as “the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy.” I still find it soooo hard to believe the guy is now the Vice President!

Oh yeah, I could do these democrat donkey lines for hours!

Bobby, Ha! I’m so going to look for a cute elephant picture so you can swing both ways.

I’ve never seen a donkey that I want to hug before! Becky nailed it with the “Just one more hug” comment, imo. To me, it’s not just the smile but the expression in the eyes – that donkey is in love with the photographer. And I’m in love with it. What a nice way to end the week, J. Thanks.

Dani, I know! I fell for him, too. Such a sweet face.

Wipe that smile of your face soldier! This is the Army!

    or

“So smile, smile. And the whole world will smile with youuuuu!”

    or

“I’m smiling cause all these comments say I am a donkey and I’m a burro! Joke”s on you!”
