Tina, For some reason, I’m impossibly delighted that you “feel” the picture of me and Lexi. I love the description of your images of happiness. I may even find one for you. (Come back Saturday!) Oh, don’t worry. Not the one through your living room window… I know the rules about stalking. ;-)

That photo of you and Lexi–in the boat–it IS pure peaceful happiness captured in an image. I can almost *feel* your happpiness from looking at it.
Hmmm..a picture of happiness for me might be a cnaoe gliding silently across a northern lake at dusk, or a wall of books(in a white, built-in bookcase) or a view through my living room window on a winter Friday night -seeing my family of three(plus dog and cat) all camped out on the wrap-around couch watching movie together.

A little “trivia” or Shakespeare History for us . . . I knew, of course, that those little gems of Willy Wonka’s were taken from different works, but what I didn’t know was/is that that particular quote was actually written:

“So shines a good deed in a naughty world” — I like Weary much better! However, I found this explaination –
The word ‘naughty’ meant ‘worthless’ in those days.Compare AV Bible – ‘the naughty figs’, ‘the naughtiness of your hearts’, etc.

The quote came from The Merchant of Venice and was ‘said’ by the character Portia.

By the way, I love Gene Wilder in his other films as well!

The one of the bridge deep in the woods is one of my favorites. Thank you for linking to it. I just wish I could add what it smelled like that day to the photo because it had just rained and I was surrrounded by that lush green lovely leaf smell.

I love what Bobby wrote, that’s priceless! I just hope he doesn’t start a riot – people don’t like to lose their Latte’s! I also loved reading Karen’s descriptions . . . I had a mural on my wall when I was a teen that her descriptions made me think of –http://www.millpictures.com/mills/images/WV-10-01-GladeCreekGristMill-BabcockMill-3.jpg . I much prefer the enchanted forest scene to anything tropical. Still, nothing quite compares to this one image for me – there is a particular person’s face that just brings back happy childhood feelings every time I see him. The sensation is along the lines of what Bobby mentioned — the time when you just get lost in a childlike joy. I still have that feeling when I hear songs from my favorite film that this actor is in. Actually, just his speaking voice affects me in a similar way. I’m sure it’s all connected to having enjoyed that particular film with loved ones over the years. It’s a bit odd, but from about age 10, through my teens and even now, every Christmas I watch the movie (strange for the holidays). His face and eyes make me think of love, playful mischief, hope, laughter and kindness — wow, now, that’s a great actor ;-) I hope you can access the links below:

Bobby, So are you – inspiring me! First of all, if that picture gets taken (or even if you find one that looks like that somewhere), send it to me. I’d consider changing my banner for a picture of you knocking people out of the way to get to ZS! (Got a big huge grin on my face just imagining it.)
