I’m back to vote again for the band. I’ve been thinking about our local all-girl band “The Donnas” all day. Yours could be just as good! Call it J’s Kiss Revival, “Kiss Again”, or (punning Metallica) “Judys Kiss”?

Is Sheryl Crow doing anything these days? Courtney Love? Chrissie Hynde?

Bobby, No worries, my tongue was firmly planted in my cheek, and Craig can’t help it if he is, in fact, a jornalist. But now that I’ve been outed, I have to admit that when I realized it was the wrong eye, I could have still reversed it. I didn’t because, well… there was really no telling whether we could get such a nice 5-point star outline again. Yes, it’s true! I let expediency and a crisis of confidence get in the way of accuracy!

“truth in music reporting” ? — Criss not Stanley sang the song “beth” ? — bubbles bursting ? — Oh my gosh, I am hoping their are some tongues planted firmly in cheeks/ impish grins/ left eye winks going on here today?!

I make one fun comment about having Judy sing a chorus of beth and the powers of journalistic ethics are bouncing all around! You would think I led the guests of the blog down a harrowing path of ignorance without room for a u-turn!

At least you left that poor guy in the band alone for wearing the star over the wrong eye for all those many years. I know that to be true based on Judy’s picture! Waaaay to show restraint!!

Not to burst everyone’s bubble, but … Peter Criss sang “Beth,” not Paul Stanley. Therefore you cannot expect Judy to sing “Beth” unless she changes the makeup and grabs a drum kit.

(ducks from stuff being thrown in general direction)

With that said, I absolutely love that you went the KISS route with this one! (And I’m not even a KISS fan — it’s just spectacularly cool that you interpreted this week’s quest that way!)

jb, Actually, you know I could come around on Halloween. This wasn’t too hard, and if it constitutes a costume, then maybe I could get into the scariest of holidays.

Carey, I LOVE the rose colored glasses you wear when you view all things j! When I was looking for a good picture to copy, I found a site that showed pictures of how each band member’s makeup evolved. Interesting. (Or I thought so anyway.)

I’m going to check that link! I’ve always thought that was a beautiful song — they don’t get enough credit for all their ‘ground breaking’ etc. I saw something in a Metal documentary once that talked about how the over -promoting of Kiss (I think beyond their control) kind of took away from their true talent and contribution to the history of Rock/Metal. Of course now we see clips of Gene Simmons on some reality show — I guess he has the ‘lead singer disease’ — not sure.
