[...] I saw Ghost Writer. First of all, let me just say that I LOVED everything about this move. Anyone who knows me very well knows that I don’t recommend movies. I often disagree with the general public on which movies are good, and I have no faith in my ability to pick which movies someone else will like. That said, Ghost Writer is so good, I can’t imagine anyone not liking it. It gets everything right – the writing, tone, pace, performances, score… And here’s the real reason it makes the “first time” list. I saw Ghost Writer at an indie theater downtown called The Vine. The Vine has formed a partnership with the restaurant next door and you can now order food and drinks with your movie. There are tables, and love seats, amazing food, and a wine list. I never watched a movie in a theater so comfortably. It was awesome. I’ll be adding The Vine to my 3/50 project. [...]

Milli, Think Globally, Travel Locally is an excellent title. You have a way with words. You should write. (hee hee!) Today, we took Lexi for a walk around a reservoir about 40 miles from where we live. Afterward, we started to go to Starbucks, and then I suggested the indie yogurt place down the street. (Cookies and Cream yogurt. Mmmmm!)

Bummer. Left a long comment remarking on various things you said in this post, but it got lost in cyberspace after I hit Submit.

Bottom line: I have three favorite local businesses where I easily spend $50 a month. I plan to blog about them on my travel blog (“Think Globally, Travel Locally”) and take some photos to go with.

Thanks to Judy (and her loyal readers who email suggestions!) for all the inspiration I’ve found so far on this blog.

P.S. Like others on this thread, I *must* include good coffee as one of my 3/50′s.
