Zebra Sounds

Some more post-worthy than others, but here goes!

1. I watched John McCain on This Week with George Stephanopoulos.  All I can say is, too bad that guy didn’t run for president.
2. I listened to NPR this morning.  Too much economy, not enough Blago.  I switched to Christmas music.
3. I listened to Christmas music this morning.  I have a CD on which Dean Martin sings Rudy the Red Nosed Reindeer in the voice of Lounge Lizard Larry.  Ho, ho, ho!
4. Craig Newmark, founder of Craig’s List, wrote an excellent post in response to the suggestion that there be a Craig’s List for Service.  He talks about what such a site might include, what the Obama administration should do to facilitate and encourage participation, and he links to a myraid of sites already available to help volunteers find their causes. 
5. I never know what to do with my feet.  Last night, dressing to go out for my birthday, I tried on three pairs of shoes and one pair of boots – each an embarrassing number of times.  Super-great-birthday-realization:  No one at the Ale House noticed my shoes, or at least no one at the table of people I love.
6. According to Gretchin Rubin’s Relationship Quiz, I am not “the person whom everyone finds difficult.”  Whew!
7. This weekend, I bought eggs for Christmas.  It is almost time to attempt the great egg shelling experiment again.  Cameras will be rolling.  Stay tuned…
